Dataset: Cultures of humanities publishing: Introducing the PACE-index to understand diversity and conformity in scholarly communication

<p dir="ltr">This dataset is a supplement to the article "Cultures of humanities publishing: Introducing the PACE-index to understand diversity and conformity in scholarly communication".</p><p dir="ltr">The dataset is based on the content of the Swepub database as of March 2025. The dataset was downloaded with the help interactive Swepub GUI (https://bibliometri.swepub.kb.se/bibliometrics) and contains some basic metadata about each scientific publications in the database which was published between 2004 and 2023 according to the publication year filter. The dataset contains only peer-reviewed and other academic scientific publications ("content_marking" is "ref" or "vet") and only publications which had at least one subject field shown at the finest 5-digit level ("five_digit_topics").
